Festival Rouen Impressionnée: Immersive Sound Creation

As part of the Rouen Impressionnée festival, I conducted a dual immersion project during the summer of 2024. This included operating a Bureau de permanence de la parole du fleuve (River Speech Bureau) along the banks of the Seine and recording interviews with specialists and enthusiasts involved in river-related activities, including sportspeople and volunteers encountered on the quay.

The resulting sound creation, Les crues font des répétitions (The Floods Make Repetitions), serves as a poetic inquiry that allows the Seine to speak through a polyphonic investigation. This work aims to evoke flooded visions and various relationships to rising waters within the collective imagination.
